Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel unveils rooms at entirely new attic floor

With its new added floor featuring Business and Junior class rooms the Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel has presented a unique experience for guests staying in the heart of Vilnius Old Town.
The attic floor has been evolved with 6 stylish rooms while 8 more guest rooms in the hotel were extended and upgraded to the Superior category.

Combining with its undergone refurbishment project in 2014, the property now offers more than a half fully renovated rooms of its 126 in total.

"We are delighted to continue improvement by completing addition and modernization of the rooms which are instantly recognizable, individual, has a touch of unexpected and is inspirational to every guest. Our guests will discover the new look design and set-out which retains the charm and distinctive character of the hotel with a such rich history. With a unique patio area which gives outdoor feeling and additional relaxation space featuring views over Vilnius Old Town, the experience will be enhanced even more in a part of rooms of our absolutely new attic floor” - said Janis Valodze, General Manager of the Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel.

New rooms design is inspired by Vilnius Old town, history and baroque style the hotel has strong ties with. The colour scheme for the guestroom is collected from the tones of the Old Town’s streets and its natural environment. The concept was created and implemented by Swedish designer Johann Einarsson from LWA Lundwall Architects company based in Gothenburg.

A rich pallet between grey, green and blue with a pop of burnt umber creates a soft palette that invites to calmness and rest for the guest. Shimmering velvet, dark marble and polished metallic textures forms a welcoming and pleasant destination after a long journey.

Aiming a better working and living space that’s much more like home in the new rooms, the bed & sofa lounge is blended there into one stand-out piece that serves a variety of purposes giving guest the freedom to explore the room in the way they prefer – sleeping, eating, relaxing, working, watchingTV – with an open view into the room styled perfectly for everyday life.

Guests will enjoy more flexible spaces now granted by round multi-purpose table with pendant lighting replacing the traditional work desk.
With an iconic comfortable signature chair as its centerpiece, free standing floor lamp and side table this space gives guests an open invitation to actually sit back and relax. Not a place to be used to store clothes for which it is so frequently used. In business class rooms a foot stool is introduced.

The entrance includes a carpet, while the room features sophisticated hard flooring complimented with a well-designed rug, another reference to the warmth and coziness of a lived-in home.

Sleek bathrooms are ruled by simplicity – fuss free, high quality fittings and a generous walk-in shower for maximum comfort.

For the convenience of guests, the additional transparent glass elevator with a view of the charming and authentic historical interior of the hotel has been equipped as the part of refurbishment project.

Radisson Blu Royal Astorija Hotel is a cultural landmark in the Old Town of Vilnius.Guests can admire this early 1900s Baroque-style building that blends vintage architecture with modern 5-star amenities, staying near the palaces, churches, monuments, various boutiques.
