Last week, on Thursday and Friday, Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Mary of Denmark and the Minister for Development Cooperation and Nordic Cooperation, Flemming Møller Mortensen, visited Lithuania.
The reason for the visit was to celebrate 100 year anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Lithuania and 30 years of the reestablishment.
The Danish Chamber of Commerce participated Friday morning in a conference on this matter, and the book “Denmark and Lithuania through 100 years of bilateral relations – From neighbours to allies” was presented.
H.R.H Mary opened the conference which included speakers from both Denmark and Lithuania.
Later that day, H.R.H Mary officially opened Senatorių Pasažas in the heart of Vilnius, where Niels Peter Pretzmann showed her Royal Highness around the complex, telling about their farm-to-table concept.
The day before, she and invited guests, including DCC, attended a concert with a string quartet with musicians from Denmark, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania.
All in all, it was a couple of busy days for H.R.H. Mary, and we would like to take the opportunity to thank her for the visit, as well as thanking the Danish Embassy for excellent work in organising.
