Long-term project, Vocational Education in Lithuania, is moving forward

Education-Policy

The Danish Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania is very pleased to confirm, that our long-term project on vocational education is now moving forward, thanks to the cooperation between the Nordic Embassies and Chambers of Commerce as well as the Nordic Council of Ministers Office in Lithuania.

To come this far has only been possible, thanks to Mads Meinert and Sven Randers, who has been working within this field for a substantial number of years.

A study of the present situation within this part of the education system, together with collecting information from the members of the Nordic Chambers of Commerce and combined with the long tradition of the Nordic countries vocational education system, it is very likely the right way forward for the Baltic countries within vocational education.

Guaranteeing the students a job together with their education might be the key factor for the younger generation choosing a practical education instead of university.

Having the impact of the Geo-political situation, we believe that more service industries like transport and production jobs will come to Lithuania.

We look forward to follow the outcome of our common efforts.

Thanks to the Nordic Embassies and Nordic Council of Ministers for their cooperation.
