Together with Swedish, Norwegian, Finnish Chambers of Commerce, as well as LAVA (Responsible Business Association of Lithuania) and Norden (Nordic Council of Minister) we are proudly inviting you to Annual Responsible Business Conference “Economy of Responsability: from spontaneous volunteering to new business models".
More and more companies in the world are implementing strategic decisions that contribute to sustainable social and economic development. Lithuania also has companies that have successfully created new business models, which lets them not only to achieve good economic results, but also create value for the environment and society. These companies have abandoned the narrow concept of corporate responsibility, limited to volunteering or minimal environmental initiatives. Instead they integrated the principles of sustainability into their business strategies.
What should be done to increase the number of such companies in Lithuania so that we could move faster towards the economy of responsibility? In implementing the United Nations Development Goals and in order to become a member of the Organization for Economic Co-operation Development, both business and the state must reassess the importance of sustainability and social responsibility for the progress of country's economy and society.
In the annual responsible business conference "Economy of responsibility: from volunteering to new business models" the exciting responsible business trends will be discussed and practical examples of sustainable and socially responsible business and initiatives presented. This conference unites business leaders and experts from Lithuania and abroad who share their experience. The main goal of the conference is to encourage the development of responsibility in Lithuanian business by presenting successful practices of integrating sustainability principles into core business practices.
